RAIFA Community Service Project

As mentioned in our last Life notes, the RAIFA association has embarked upon assisting our community and has chosen to sponsor the organization of Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Northern Illinois. We are providing a night out at the park for the children and their Big Brothers and Sisters with the Rockford Riverhawks. They will enjoy a baseball game on Sunday afternoon June 14, 2009 and a hot dog meal along with the opportunity to run the bases after the game. This should be a memorable experience for most of these children.

 

Also, throughout the course of the Riverhawks season their will be P.A. announcement every time a Riverhawk hits a double that says that The Rockford Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors has just made a donation to the Big Brothers and Big Sisters organization of Northern Illinois.

 

The RAIFA board believes in giving back to our community in which we live, work and play. This project will provide benevolence to our community and exposure about our organization in the positive light that best describes the character and persona of every member of our fine organization.

 

As part of the campaign, we are asking for your support towards this cause. We encourage all of you to participate by donating funds to assist with our project. The Riverhawks organization has stepped to the plate and stated that any RAIFA member that donates to the cause will receive a Free Riverhawks ticket to a game in the future. The requirements are for every $25 donation, you will receive one free baseball ticket. The deadline for contributions are May 1, 2009. Can you please make your checks payable to RAIFA with a memo that this is a contribution for the Big Brothers/Sisters campaign and send to Holly James.

Here we are again, making changes to serve you better. As you can see, we've redesigned our web site to make it easier to read and easier to use. You can now even turn in your reservation for our monthly luncheons right here on the site by going to our Contact RAIFA page and filling out the simple form. We'll be posting all the info here that we used to send out in LifeNotes, so be sure to check back often. We'll let you know any time something changes so you know to visit the site. So take a look around. Let us know, too, if there are things you'd like to see on the site, because it's YOUR site. We want to serve you better!
